Most schools in the area started classes this week. In Fairhaven, grades 1 to 12 started on Tuesday, 8/27. Kindergarten and preK were scheduled to start on Thursday, 8/29. It is, of course customary to show a picture of the kids starting school, but there’s more to starting school than starting school. A group of parents got together at a West Island home to celebrate the return of classes by enjoying some mimosas on the deck and their own good company, and the Neighb News decided it was just as fitting to commemorate their response as the children’s.
