Enjoy five venues of free entertainment across various genres, from the traditional “fado” at Shaw’s Museum of Madeiran Heritage Café to rock and roll and everything in between. As the night unfolds, the streets come alive with the irresistible aromas of delicious Portuguese food, upbeat music, and the warm, festive spirit that only this iconic event can bring.

Family Fun Day: Sat., 8/1, from noon to 4 p.m.
he Family Day program has grown over the years and this year is chock full of wonderful entertainment that will please the child in us all. Featuring both kid-themed activities such as face painting and more…
Kids under 12 eat free (hot dog, burger, fries and soda); carnival with new rides; dozens of local organizations providing content and giveaways; musical entertainment; special dance party under the grapevine.
Senior Day:Sat., 8/1, from noon to 4 p.m.
The Main Pavilion welcomes all seniors to enjoy a choice-of-menu dinner at a 50% discount! Menu choices include roast beef, chicken, fish, cacoila, and the somewhat more exotic roast goat or rabbit and traditional Portuguese favorites.
Parade: Sun., 8/2
The parade will start at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday with over forty different organizations marching the one mile route from Brooklawn Park to the Feast grounds at Madeira Field.
In the past we’ve had brass bands, fife & drum bands, bagpipers, popular singing groups, pirates, clowns, jugglers, militias, beauty queens, delightful floats, classic cars and lots of fun and surprises for everyone.
The parade begins at Brooklawn Park and proceeds south on Acushnet Avenue to Earle Street, turns east onto Earle Street and continues to the Immaculate Conception Church. It then turns north onto Madeira Avenue and proceeds to Madeira Field where it enters the Feast grounds and past the reviewing stand at Stage 1.
