13th annual Taste of Southcoast, Sun., 5/19, Noon–5 p.m., City Pier, New Bedford. Tasting noon to 3:15, awards 4:30 p.m. Featuring live music, kids activities, food from more than 20 local restaurants, caterers and bakeries. Beer garden by Buzzards Bay Brewing, Canned Heath Craft Beer and Moby Dick Brewing Co.
Tickets: $20 at door/adults; $15 in advance; $5/children 6–12; children under five, free. Tickets available online at www.tasteofsouthcoast.com and BayCoast Bank, 23 Elm St., NB.
The tasting wraps up by 3:15 pm. The votes are tallied and the awards are presented by 4:30 pm. The fun continues until 5 pm with live music all afternoon. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be served until 5 pm.
