“Sun Day”at Old North Church
Leading climate activist Bill McKibben will join other Mass. and national environmental, faith, and social justice leaders at Old North Church on Sat. 4/26, to launch the call for “Sun Day,” a national day of action to celebrate the power of clean energy. After an interfaith service from 6:30 to 8:00pm, organizers will light a solar-powered green lantern in the steeple of Old North Church, just as revolutionaries did 250 years ago to warn of the impending British invasion and send Paul Revere on his famous midnight ride. At the same time, the City of Boston will shine green lights on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Prudential Tower, City Hall and the UMass Boston (Integrated Science Complex).
