The state primary is Tuesday, 9/1. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Contested primaries on both the Democratic and Republican sides for US Senator are Joe Kennedy challenging incumbent Edward Markey on the Democratic side; Shiva Ayyadurai and Kevin O’Connor on the Republican side.

In-person Early Voting is still available at the Fairhaven Fire Station Meeting Room from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thurs. and Friday, 8/27 & 28
All voters are encouraged to bring their own black or blue ink pens, wear masks, and adhere to the social distancing advisory.

In Acushnet, early voting is available at the Parting Ways Building, 130 Main Street, from 8–4 on Thursday, and 8–11:30 a.m. on Friday.

Vote by mail/ drop off
The last day to apply in person for an absentee or early ballot is 8/31. You may mail in your ballot, but it must be received by 9/1, so you may opt to drop it off in person. In Fairhaven, the drop box is located to the right of the front doors at town hall. A newly installed slot in the outside door to the town clerk’s office can be used for ballots.
