Newly elected Fairhaven Select Board member Stasia Powers won her seat on the Selectboard after a recall of Daniel Freitas succeeded in a special election on 7/26/21. In a weird twist of history, the first woman to serve on the Select Board was Ruth Galary, who beat Sam Freitas, Dan’s father, in 1991.
