It was standing (or sitting) room only on Friday, 10/17/25, at Fairhaven Town Hall, when The Fairhaven Historical Society hosted Nathaniel Philbrick, who discussed his book, “In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex.” Hundreds showed up, filling the main floor of the auditorium and the balcony. Mr. Philbrick discussed his book and signed copies.
