We can’t wait to address the impacts of climate change. With a culture of denial permeating national politics, Massachusetts must lead the charge against the reality of extreme weather events, rising sea level, and high energy costs. Our South Coast is uniquely poised to take the helm and direct us toward a safer, healthier Massachusetts. The South Coast Positive Energy Exchange brings together local organizations and elected officials who are powering us forward toward a clean energy future.
Please join us for an afternoon of learning about the important work local leaders are doing to combat the threats our communities face due to climate change. We are pleased to be joined by Senator Marc Pacheco, Chair of the Senate Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change, and Mayor of New Bedford, Jon Mitchell, who will discuss local and statewide initiatives that address these threats.
Presented by South Coast Neighbors United, in collaboration with UMass Dartmouth Office of Sustainability & Residential Services, 350 MA South Coast, Coalition for Social Justice, and the Marion Institute.
All are welcome. To RSVP, please register on-line at: https:// scpee.eventbrite.com/
