The League of Women Voters SouthCoast will present a program on the environmental impacts of single use plastic on Wed., 12/7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Buzzards Bay Coalition, 114 Front Street, New Bedford.
Guest speaker, Mary Lou Nicholson, a climate leader with The Climate Reality Project, will discuss the effects of single-use plastic on the environment and how plastic is not only unsightly but every year, countless animals are killed by plastic straws, bags, coffee stirrers, food packaging, and soda and water bottles.
Come listen to Ms. Nicholson describe how we can lower our carbon footprint, and stop the harm from single use plastic.
