Sure signs of summer include the leaves on the trees, the different animals that come out from hiding with their youngsters, and the growing of corn and hay in the fields. The hay gets harvested several times a season, and last week was one of those times in the field at Shipyard Farms on Sconticut Neck Road in Fairhaven on 6/8/20, when these giant round hay bales waited to be wrapped in plastic, to resemble big marshmallows, then be transported to Viveiros Farm, just up the road a bit.
