Eighteen Shakespeare for Scaredy Cats folks from the Mattapoisett Council on Aging attended an exceptional performance of The Winter’s Tale on March 7 at Trinity Rep in Providence.
Over the years, members of this enthusiastic, very lively group have also seen other Shakespeare productions, such as Hamlet and The Taming of the Shrew.
The theatre venues have included the Gamm in Rhode Island, the Rotch-Jones Duff House in New Bedford, and the Kate Gould Park in Chatham.
Dr. Karrie Szatek teaches the no-homework, seminar-style class on Thursdays at the COA. Currently being read is Antony and Cleopatra; next will be Measure for Measure in April and May.
