The Fairhaven Sewer Department will be replacing the sewer main on Pilgrim Avenue beginning Monday, March 18, 2019. We will begin work at the pumping station and proceed to Main Street over the course of the project. We expect the work to be completed by March 27th, weather permitting. The street will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m–5 p.m. each day of construction and there will be no parking on the street itself between those hours. Access to your home will be limited during the day, but the sewer department personnel will make every effort to accommodate its neighbors.
Water and sewer usage will not be interrupted during this construction, but there will be a green bypass line running through 5 and 15 Pilgrim Avenue, as well as the Royal and Northeast Maritime properties. We will make sure that rubbish collection is not interrupted as well.
If you have any questions or experience any issues while we are working please do not hesitate to call the BPW office at 508-979-4030. Linda Schick will be coordinating the work on this project and will be available for any questions at either the phone number listed above, or via email at: lschick@fairhaven-ma.gov.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
