In August, Tonix received FDA-approval for the drug Tonmya, the first new treatment for fibromyalgia in over 15 years. A chronic pain condition that affects millions of adults, fibromyalgia has been an elusive target for drugmakers due to its widespread symptoms.
It’s said that the princess in Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale “The Princess and The Pea” must have had fibromyalgia, given her body’s hypersensitivity to pain and poor sleep. Seth will intertwine this backstory with how, by analyzing the condition’s Achilles Heel, Tonix researchers brought this drug from concept to FDA approval.
