Students started school this week, on Tuesday, 9/15 for Fairhaven and 9/16 for Acushnet. A brisk fall-weather day greeted parents and students at the LL Wood School in Fairhaven. The children seemed happy to go back to school, even with masks on. Faculity members also seemed very excited to get back into the classroom to teach in person. Some parents admitted thea they did not think they would see the day this year when children were actually back in school. Both districts are offering a combination of in-person and remote learning, with staggered and alternating schedules to reduce the number of students in the building at any one time. Masks and social distancing will also be required.
