January 18, 2018 by Staff Writer

Acushnet Police Department posted a picture on Facebook of a car on its roof, with a plea to slow down in snowy/icy conditions. The teenaged driver, who is not being identified, was transported to the hospital for evaluation, but did not have any serious injuries, according to Acushnet Fire Chief Kevin Gallagher.

“Please drive slowly!!” wrote the PD on Facebook. “Even an inch of snow can cause the roadways to become slick!! This photo was taken this morning[1/17/18] in the area of [Dingle’s] curve!! Please use caution!!!!” Dingles curve is on Main Street near Keith’s Farm. Photo from Acushnet Police Department’s Facebook page.
