The Fairhanen Father’s Day Road Race returned on 6/19/22 after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic. The 5K only race saw 794 finishers, starting and ending at its traditional place, the Hastings Middle School.
First over the line was Fairhaven’s own Will Benoit in 15:39.8, now 19, and someone we have watched finish as one of the leaders for years.
Second over the line was Zachary Bentley, 23, of Bridgewater in 15:58.5; followed by Troy Winkler, 17, of Sanderson, FL, in 17:01.9/
First woman over the line was Abigail Payson, 27, of Cambridge, MA, in 20:04.2; Erin Carr, 36, of Fairhaven was second woman over the line in 20:08.5; and Molly Comerford of Scituate, MA, 39, was third woman over the line in 10:10.7.

Three six year olds were the youngest finishers: Ayda Medeiros in 38:25; Alaina DaCosta in 45:32; and Kyla Hurley in 46:22
Two 80-somethings competed in that age group, with Maurice Bourque, 80, finishing in 35:27, and Jack Keefe, 83, finishing in 48:44.
