Explore the 1834 mansion which Herman Melville might have described as a “brave house” in his book Moby Dick: the Rotch-Jones-Duff House and Garden Museum (RJD), 396 County St., NB, will offer 45-minute guided tours led by Docent George Kontanis on select Thursdays: April 24 and May 22, all beginning at 2 p.m. Visitors will experience the rich history of the mansion, learning about the Rotch, Jones, and Duff residents as well as the staff who worked at this remarkable Greek Revival home. 2025 marks the museum’s 40th anniversary and two smaller displays about this landmark year can be enjoyed after the tour.
