Community members from Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, and New Bedford will gather this Sunday, 11/16, to honor those lost to traffic crashes and call for safer streets. Small neighborhood gatherings will begin at 1:00 PM at several memorial sites, before converging at Pope’s Island in New Bedford near Noah’s Place Playground for a shared remembrance ceremony from 2:30 to 3:00 PM.
The event, part of the global World Day of Remembrance, is sponsored by MassBike and organized by friends of the victims, SouthCoast Places for People, and the South Coast Bikeway Alliance.
