The American Legion Post 265 will hold a ceremony making Acushnet a Purple Heart Town on Sun., 5/7, at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park, at Pope Park, 96 Pope St. (corner Main), weather permitting. Coffee and pastry to follow at the American Legion, 71 Hope St., Acushnet.
