The South Coast LGBTQ+ Network is pleased to sponsor Cinema New Bedford’s presentation of “Ship of Hearts” at the Zeiterion, 684 Purchase St., New Bedford, a series that speaks to the heart of relationships, friendships, and allyships within the LGTBQ+ community. Featured films include Love Simon, Flee, Framing Agnes, and Booksmart. Films will run throughout Pride Month.

Framing Agnes, Tues., 6/21, 7 p.m.; Booksmart, Sun., 6/26, 3 p.m.

Tickets for each movie: $10. Visit www.zeiterion.org

From the show runner behind “Riverdale,” “You,” and “Supergirl,” LOVE, SIMON is an endearing and hilarious testament to friendship and learning how to fiercely be yourself starring Nick Robinson and Katherine Langford. Following the film, join us for a conversation with Eileen Duga from Elevate Youth Program. Movie runtime: 110 min. Rated PG-13

Flee. Winner of the Best World Cinema Documentary prize at Sundance, a People’s Choice Award at TIFF, and nominated for an Academy Award, FLEE is a beautifully constructed animated documentary about a young man with a big secret who is forced to flee Afghanistan as a child. Following the film, join us for a conversation with Helena Dasilva Huges President, Immigrant Assistance Center, and Farkhanda Ehssan, Afghan refugee. Movie runtime: 90 min. Rated PG-13

Framing Agnes Hot on the heels of its 2022 Sundance premiere, FRAMING AGNES blends fiction and non-fiction story elements to recount how trans women in the 1950’s had to play the system and out maneuver the “authorities” at the UCLA gender clinic to get what they needed to live their lives fulfilled. Featuring Zackary Drucker, Jen Richards, Silas Howard, and Jules Gill-Peterson. Join us for a post-show conversation with director Chase Joynt and documentary participant Jules Gill-Peterson, PhD.

Movie runtime: 75 min.

Booksmart. On the eve of high school graduation, best friend overachievers Amy (Kaitlyn Dever) and Molly (Beanie Feldstein) are determined to make up for lost time and cram as much fun into one night as they possibly can. Chaotic and hilarious adventures ensue. Seriously, side splitting funny. Movie runtime: 102 min. Rated R
