Porch fire on Wing Road quickly knocked down

Acushnet Firefighters responded to a 911 call at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday, 4/15/22 for a fire on the porch of a residence on Wing Road, within sight of the Russell Street fire station.
Three Engines and Ladder One responded. The residents had exited prior to the FD arrival. The fire was quickly knocked down and the house checked thoroughly for extension. The cause was accidental and there were no injuries.
