All indications are that the Oxford School Residences in Benoit Square in Fairhaven are still on track to start receiving tenants in the spring. The project will created 52 new senior housing units, for people 62+, with 45 units affordably priced and rented to individuals who earn 60% or less of the area median income. The project re-uses the old Oxford School building for 10 apartments, with the rest in a new building constructed where the old addition was.
HallKeen Management will provide on-site management for the property, and is accepting applications through January 31 for the affordable housing lottery, which will be hosted virtually on February 10. Applications received after that date will be placed on a waiting list.
Call 781-915-3071, TDD 7-1-1, or email oxfordschool@hallkeen.com for an application. Applications are also available at the Millicent Library, Fairhaven Town Hall, Fairhaven Housing Authority (Oxford Terrace), and Fairhaven Senior Center. Visit www.OxfordSchoolResidences.com for more details.
