West Island Regatta
Join us for the 4th annual West Island Regatta on Sat., 7/20, Hoppy’s Landing, 69 Goulart Memorial Drive, Fairhaven. We need boats and racers: Sunfish, Sailfish, Hobie Cats, Laser, Etc… So if it floats and you think you can do a 3 mile course in less than 2 hours, bring it down to the water and meet us at Hoppy’s at 10:00AM for a quick skippers meeting.
Parking is free and we’ll provide a lunch for all racers afterwards at the community center 41 Causeway Rd on West Island. The entry fee is $25.00 and includes the lunch and a regatta t-shirt. You do not need to register online, but please email Paul Casey at Mantacatgonesailing@gmail.com with your preferred t-shirt size so we’ll be sure you get what you want. Anyone not racing but wants to attend the lunch can buy a lunch ticket for $7.50
The race is an informal, friendly sailing competition designed to present a sporting challenge to experienced and novice sailors. The regatta is open to everyone, Fairhaven residency is not a requirement so we encourage everyone with a beachable sailboat to participate.
