Scheduled concerts include:
• Wed., 8/3, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Ryan Adair Rooney is a genre defying musician, artist, and composer who grew up between the Blackstone Valley RI, and the South Coast before relocating to Austin and then Marfa Texas for some time. Ryan is currently a Mattapoisett resident. He plays various instruments, most notably an array of Baritone guitars.
• Wed., 8/10, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Matt York’s Songs and Stories is a performance that blends songs by the artists and stories about their upbringing and careers. Tonight he will focus on the country supergroup The Highwaymen, which consisted of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. He will talk about the various collaborations those artists had with each other earlier in their careers, the forming of The Highwaymen and perform a bunch of their most famous songs. This performance is funded in part by a grant from the Acushnet Cultural Council.
