Monday Morning Fun, sponsored by the Fairhaven Office of Tourism in July and August, has just two programs left for the summer. So if you haven’t gotten there yet, set your sights on next Monday, August 13, for Ruth and Abby, the 1850s Ladies from the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park; and August 20 for Professor Slapstick’s Punch & Judy Show with traditional hand puppets for a rollicking good time.
Programs this year have included a petting zoo, fire hose-down with the fire department, marine animal demonstrations, disk jockey, and cartoonist.
Every Monday features a bounce house, lawn games, and on hot days, a sprinkler. It’s all free, but there is also food for sale, including ice cream.
This week, Cory was driving by with his son Caleb and noticed the happenings on the lawn of the Visitors Center by the High School on the corner of Main Street and Route 6, and decided to stop. They enjoyed some of the lawn games and just hung out for awhile.
Jaeden, Sierra, Jacqueline, and Troy took advantage of a drawing lesson with Cartoonist Zack Giallongo.
