Oh, Winter, where did you go?

January 30, 2020 by Staff Writer

Last week’s cover shot was of this same marsh and estuary frozen from the cold. Winter seems to have disappeared for a bit with temperatures reaching close to 50 degrees and allowing the marsh to thaw out by 1/27/19. This week, though, a return to season temperatures is expected, with temps dropping into the 30’s, but still staying about freezing. A couple of storms also seem to be headed our way, but because of the warm temperatures, they should produce mostly rain or rain/snow mix.
