Scott D. Hobson, 54, affectionately known as “Scooter,” of Fairhaven, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at home after a long illness.
Born in Stoughton, MA he was the son of Eileen M. (Gouveia) Hobson of New Bedford and the late Paul A. Hobson. He was a 1985 graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School and lived most of his life in Fairhaven.
Scott was a commercial fisherman for many years on various vessels to include the Direction, Sally Katherine, Terry Ann, Bullwinkle, and Mark Darren.
He enjoyed quahoaging and spending time with his family, friends, and his cat.
He is survived by his mother, his uncle Robert (Hoppy), his aunt Jackie, and cousin Holly Lemieux, and many friends.
He enjoyed life his way and would help anyone in need.
Private services were by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.
