Roberta A. (Tavares) Rose, 81, of Fairhaven passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Edward G. Rose.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late John and Mary (Amaral) Tavares, she was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven and graduate of Fairhaven High School. A homemaker, Roberta loved spending time with her family, watching her children and grandchildren play sports and attending their events.
She is survived by her loving husband Edward; her children, Gary E. Rose and his wife Lynn of New Haven, VT and Wendy Almeida and her companion Seth Alexion of Fairhaven; six grandchildren, Scott Almeida, Matthew Rose and his wife Taylor, Paige Almeida, Jaclyn Dylewski and her husband Phill, Shelley Rose and Shane Almeida and his wife Felicia; three great grandchildren, Sophia Almeida, Sage Almeida-Shervo and Miles Dylewski; her siblings, Patricia Read, John Tavares and his wife Jean and Robert Tavares; and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, private arrangements are by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven.
