The Unified Basketball teams of Fairhaven’s Elizabeth Hastings Middle School and Dartmouth Middle School faced off on 3/18/22 and 3/25/22, with Fairhaven prevailing 22-14 at home on 3/18 and a tie, 28-28, on 3/25 at Dartmouth.
It was the first time this year that the team came together to play.
Unified Basketball is in association with the Special Olympics to activate youth with and without intellectual disabilities to come together as student leaders, athletes, and agents for inclusion within their school communities. Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools motivates all students to create environments full of respect, dignity, and advocacy for students with intellectual disabilities.
