The North Fairhaven Improvement Association’s Open Air Market continues on Saturdays, along with other farmers markets starting to kick into high gear (see page 5 for details).
On Saturday, 6/13/26, the NFIA market at Livesey Park had a variety of vendors and a steady stream of visitors, despite the heat. Most vendors said the morning was brisk, but things slowed down a bit when the temperature got oppressive, despite the market being under the trees.
The Boy Scouts sold out of hot dogs, and Mrs. Jackson’s famous sourdough also sold out.
Nadine Coury was at the market for the first time selling her colorful handmade nylon wreaths, including some red, white & blue, just in time for July 4. She said sales were kind of slow, but promising, so she planned to return.
Jason Roze of Rozeworks sold a variety jewelry and other wearable art using a variety of materials.
Steve Xavier, pushed granddaughter Amelia Leavitt along in her stroller, with grandmother Jen.
They said they live in the neighborhood and their son was working the Boy Scout booth as they enjoyed the shade.
The market is open 10-3 every Saturday at Livesey Park under the trees, corner of Glenhaven and Parker.
