At approximately 8 a.m., the two adjoining businesses were found to have been burglarized overnight.

The suspect gained entry into both businesses by smashing the glass on the front doors. Cash was stolen from both businesses. Investigation revealed the incidents occurred between 12:20 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. on 05/05/2018.

Surveillance video indicates the suspect came to and from the scene on a bicycle. Police released images  of the incident from video surveillance. The investigation is ongoing and police are working to identify the suspect involved.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Acushnet Police Detective Division at 508-998-0240.

The money stolen from the dance studio, $3,200, had been raised by students for a competition. They had worked for a year to raise the money. A GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/help-off-broadway-dancers has been set up for the students. At press time, $5835 of the $5,000 goal had been raised.
