Meet your Farmer
The Acushnet Public Library, 232 Middle Rd., is holding its third annual Meet Your Farmer event which highlights the Acushnet farming community. We have invited local farmers and growers to set-up and display their farm offerings on Mon., 5/6 from 5–7 p.m. Local residents are encouraged to attend and learn how they can eat healthy and support their local farmers. Free. The event will be held in our community room, on the library deck and lawn.
Farmers will list and share what their farm raises or grows, hand out promotional materials, educate patrons, offer CSA information and display or demonstrate some of their recipes. New this year: Touch a Tractor. A local farmer will provide a tractor on site for young visitors to check out.
