Acushnet’s Miss Apple Peach Pageant has two new titleholders. On Saturday, August 30th, Elyza Wagner was selected as Miss Apple Peach and Aubrey Sousa was selected as Jr. Miss Apple Peach for 2025.
The pageant is open to all young women from Acushnet in grades 5-12 and. The Miss winner received a $500 scholarship, and the Jr. Miss winner received a $250 scholarship; both sponsored by the Acushnet Lions Club.
Contestants competed in four phases of competition: Opening Number, Onstage Question, Casual Wear and Formal Wear.
Miss Apple Peach 2025, Elyza Wagner, is a sophomore at Apponequet Regional High School who plans to become an elementary school teacher. She is a high honors student, a member of the Laker Leaders at her high school, and she presented to the Acushnet School Board committee to have Apponequet High School be a school of choice for Acushnet students.
Elyza enjoys dancing, playing soccer and basketball, and has been to Europe eight times (she is also fluent in Portuguese).
Jr. Miss Apple Peach, Aubrey Sousa, is a 5th grade student at Ford Middle School and has been on the honor roll several times, as well as the recipient of Alexia Awards. She has donated to local food drives, and helped collect items for Foundations at school. Aubrey enjoys painting, dancing, roller skating, and riding her bike.
Both young ladies are looking forward to community service opportunities and being involved in Town events. To request them at your Acushnet event, message the organization via their social media pages or email MissApplePeach@gmail.com.
