Old Sturbridge Village, 1 Old Sturbridge Village Rd., Sturbridge, MA is open during the winter months with many seasonal programs, workshops, and special events happening each week.
During Maple Days, through March 15th, visitors can explore the historic Village and watch as costumed historians demonstrate the entire sugar-making process, from tapping the trees to “sugaring off.” Learn how maple sugar was used in early New England and why it was more common than maple syrup. Step inside historic homes and interact with interpreters as they cook period foods using maple products, watch the tinner and the cooper making maple-related items, and much more.
Guests can stop by the Miner Grant Store and the Ox & Yoke Mercantile to purchase a variety of maple-themed items, including syrup, candy, books, soaps, lotions, and more!
Maple Days are included with general daytime admission. The Village is open 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance for their date of arrival. For a limited time, February 14th through 22nd, general daytime admission tickets are buy one get one half off with code LOVEHISTORY.
