To My Republican Friends
Now that the Covid Relief bill has passed the Senate I want to make sure all my Republican friends know that not a single Republican voted for this legislation. So no one who identifies themselves as a Republican or voted for these Republicans should accept the $1400 stimulus check. They also should not accept the added $300 unemployment insurance, if they happen to be unemployed. They also should forgo the added child tax credit that is now available to them.
Once again, their Republican party who can find 1.4 trillion dollars for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires, so that Amazon and others pay NO FEDERAL TAX, did nothing for the common man.
Yet those who identify as Republicans will surely cash those checks and yet still decry the very DEMOCRATS who put money in their pockets and provided for them a safety net.
If these Republicans really care about deficit spending (Republicans in Congress only care about that during Democratic administrations not when there are Republican Presidents doling out money to millionaires) they will return this money to the Treasury. They will not cash the checks or take the child tax credit.
In the category of, you can’t fix stupid, no one votes more against their own best interest than common folks who vote for the Republican party. The party that proves again and again, they couldn’t care less about you. This is yet another example.
