Thank You for Food Donations
This letter of thanks goes out to all of the Fairhaven residents who left out non-perishable food either on their porches or by their mailboxes on May 11th. This food, which totaled 4,680 pounds, was picked up by caring letter carriers who brought this food back to the Fairhaven Postal Annex and eventually was delivered to the Shepherd’s Pantry, located in Acushnet.
We are blessed by having so many dedicated volunteers at our pantry to continue our work for helping the less fortunate in our area.
All of the food that was delivered this past Saturday proves to be only the first step in handing out this food. By this I mean that all of this food must be checked if it’s not outdated, cleaned, shelved and bagged to be eventually handed out on each Saturday, between 9 and 11 a.m.
