Support Mark Sylvia
I met Mark shortly before attending my first Fairhaven Town Meeting. Having recently moved from Mattapoisett and possessing a bit of a reputation for outspoken participation at town meetings, I wanted to warn him.
Mark has served as the moderator in Fairhaven for 15 years; he was unfazed. In that first town meeting, lasting six hours, Mark demonstrated all the skills that it takes to be a successful, effective state rep! He was calm; he was kind; he was respectful; he was articulate; he knows Robert’s Rules and he knows how to use them.
Mark loves his community! In every speech he makes, he credits his parents, his teachers, his mentors for his dedication to and success in his personal and professional life.
I am continually impressed by his commitment to serving the people of the 10th Bristol district and confident that his presence in the State House will benefit all his constituents.
