Speak against racism
Dear Fairhaven people,
I’m asking you to speak, write, and act against the wave of anti-Asian racism our country is experiencing. Political officials, school leaders, religious leaders, all those in positions of power need to speak out publicly and clearly against this hatred.
Our Asian and Asian American residents and visitors deserve to feel unequivocally welcome, safe, and supported in our town. Disallowing bullying or implicit bias training is the bare minimum and simply not enough. We must be proactive and our role models and leaders need to step forward and be good examples.
