Serenity’s Pappa Says “Thank You”
Young Serenity is finally home!
We would like to thank everyone who has helped with donations of food, gifts for Serenity, and their good thoughts and prayers.
It turned out that her appendix was leaking and the doctors could not operate right away. She is now appendix-free, infection-free, and is back in school.
The staff at the emergency room at St. Luke’s, and everyone at Boston Children’s Hospital were fantastic. We were in and out of both places for weeks.
We also want to thank Ms. Pacheco and the whole staff at the school, who were very accommodating to help Serenity start the school year. They are still being very helpful while she recovers fully.
And let’s not forget the police and fire departments who gave her that spectacular drive by parade when she came home the first time.
Fairhaven is truly a great community to live in, especially the neighbors on West Island, who showed their support in so many different ways, we can’t even count.
