Romano Endorses Sylvia
To the voters of Fairhaven and the 10th Bristol District. I am writing today to formally endorse Mark Sylvia for the seat of State Representative.
Since the day I became involved in local government, Mark has been there to lead as a friend and a mentor. I have had the honor of watching and now working alongside Mark as he has served as Town Moderator for our Town Meeting, which is the largest elected representative Town Meeting in the Commonwealth.
If you have had the opportunity to attend or observe Mark in his role as Moderator, you will agree with me when I say that he is always willing to lead the Town through difficult conversations and assure that all sides of a topic are being heard.
What many do not know is the work Mark puts in months preceding a meeting to assure that everything runs smoothly, whether that be assisting applicants with wording for articles, meeting with constituents to assure they have all the information needed to make informed decisions, or even touring the venue to check for the best way to enable accessibility for all.
I have no doubt in my mind that Mark will approach the role of State Rep. with the same level of compassion and care.
Fairhaven, we should be excited to have a lifelong resident who has not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. I have no doubt in my mind that if we send Mark to Beacon Hill, he will get to work on DAY ONE to assure that Fairhaven, and the remainder of the 10th Bristol District, is best represented.
And I do mean everyone. In a time of divided politics, Mark will stay above the fray and assure everyone is heard and feels that they have a voice at the table. Please join me in voting for Mark Sylvia for State Representative of the 10th Bristol District on Tuesday, November 5th.
