No One is a Servant
In response to Mr. Rees’s letter to the editor on Public Servants (9/14/23 issue). Being employed both in the private and public arenas one thing is clear, whatever position you signed up for it’s your job to get done what is expected in the short or long term by the people you work for.
Your job as an employee is to assist customers at your business public or private. You have a choice of who you work for in either public or private.
But no one is a servant in that employment capacity.
