Letter_Monroe Supports McKenna, Romano

Monroe Supports McKenna, Romano

I am writing this letter to express my support for Donna McKenna and Andrew Romano for the open seats on the Fairhaven Select Board.

I have had the pleasure of working with Donna McKenna for the past 12 years as a member of the Fairhaven School Committee.

In that time, I found her to be an extraordinary and genuine person with a passion for her hometown. She is an ardent volunteer in our community and has spent countless hours supporting various activities for our schools.

Her unwavering commitment to important issues has marked Donna McKenna’s tenure on the committee. She has been a long-time member of the civil rights and anti-bullying task forces, championing the cause against bullying. Her support for special education, as Fairhaven’s representative to the Southeastern Massachusetts Educational Collaborative (SMEC), has been steadfast. Donna’s dedication to these causes is a testament to her commitment to our community.

With her extensive municipal experience from the school committee and financial insight gained from the mortgage industry, Donna McKenna is the candidate Fairhaven needs. Her dedication to our town is unwavering, and her ability to navigate municipal government and balance budgets is unparalleled. She is a straight shooter, ready to take on the task of serving on the Select Board.

My support also extends to Andrew Romano. I’ve had the privilege of knowing him since his high school days when he managed the audio for school committee meetings. Since then, I’ve witnessed his remarkable growth and development into a world-class real estate agent, small business owner, and respected community member. This journey has equipped him with a unique set of skills and perspectives that make him a strong candidate for the Select Board.

Andrew, a familiar face in our community, is a candidate who will bring a much-needed fresh perspective to the Select Board. His track record of community service, from his role as the director of the Fairhaven Government Access Channel to his current positions on the Zoning Board of Appeals and as the President of the North Fairhaven Improvement Association (NFIA), is a testament to his commitment.

Andrew’s trustworthiness, forthrightness, and capability to handle challenging issues make him the ideal candidate for the Select Board.

Please join me in voting for Donna McKenna and Andrew Romano for the Fairhaven Select Board on Monday, April 1, 2024.

Brian Monroe, Fairhaven School Committee Member
