Marchessault open minded
I am writing this letter to share my enthusiastic support for Cathleen Marchessault for School Committee. As a 23-year resident of Fairhaven with four children who are going through or have graduated from the Fairhaven Public Schools, I have volunteered in and been involved in the PTO and the School Council at all levels in the Fairhaven Public schools. As a Fairhaven resident and parent, I am thrilled to have someone with Cathleen’s expertise and qualifications running for School Committee.
Cathleen is a long-time resident of Fairhaven, has two children in the Fairhaven Public Schools, and she is a public school teacher. Those three things alone make her qualified to be a School Committee member, but there is much more about her that makes me want to support and recommend her.
Cathleen is open-minded and passionate about education and about serving the students and families of Fairhaven. One of her priorities is to hear from and advocate for all of the students and families in the Fairhaven Public Schools. Cathleen recognizes that all families have unique situations and that we all have something of value to share.
Cathleen brings with her 20 years of invaluable experience as a public school teacher and is currently enrolled in a STEM Leadership Program at UMass Lowell. In the ever-changing landscape of education, including the perspective of an accomplished public school teacher on the committee is so important and can only enhance and elevate the school committee discussions and the recommendations made by the committee.
Cathleen is an intelligent, thoughtful, and responsive candidate who is committed to advocating for Fairhaven students and families and dedicated to improving the Fairhaven Public schools. She recognizes the importance of encouraging a partnership with the community, of ensuring high-level learning for all students, and of creating a safe and welcoming school environment.
Thank you to Cathleen and to the current School Committee members for their willingness to be involved and advocate for the people of Fairhaven. Thank you also to the residents of Fairhaven for supporting the Fairhaven Public Schools and voting on April 5th. Please vote for Cathleen Marchessault for School Committee!
