The Capture of Maduro
I believe there will be books written and movies made about the daring operation that resulted in the capture and removal of Venezuela’s ruthless and murderous dictator Nicolas Maduro. Presidents Obama and Biden talked about it and did nothing. They set a $25 million bounty on him. Trump upped it to $50 million. No one took it up. Trump took action. However, I believe many of the brave men and women who took part in this operation said a heartfelt prayer before its commencement. They put their lives on the line to achieve it.
The compound where Maduro lived was a fortress defended by air defenses provided by both Russia and China. They were taken out by our superior air power. Maduro was in an inside location guarded by armed and trained body guards. Because of the bravery and training of our elite Delta Force they were neutralized. Maduro was headed for his safe station but was unable to reach it because of the speed and efficiency of the Delta Force.
Much remains to be done before Venezuela can return to the democracy it enjoyed prior to being taken over by ruthless Communist dictators. Under democracy it had the fourth best economy in the world.
This was transformed into a ruthless Social communist quagmire where all freedom was suppressed and any opportunity was ruthlessly crushed. Millions fled, some to Columbia, many to us. Some seeking freedom and a better life. However, many were not. They were drug dealers, sex traffickers and others engaged in other crimes, such as robbery, assaults, murder, you name it.
The point is no nation can exist unless you are willing and able to defend it. A sovereign nation can not exist without borders. We have a right to say who can and how many can come here.
