Lopes is Passionate about Public Health
I would like to share my support of electing Cristina Lopes for the Fairhaven Board of Health.
As a lifelong former Fairhaven resident and property owner, I remain to have a great stake in the betterment of Fairhaven’s community.
Cristina has invested a great amount of time over the past several years in promoting community events and taking notable interest in public service. I, in fact, acquainted myself with Cristina in this exact way. I have witnessed Cristina to be highly motivated, incredibly intelligent, and passionate about public health and continuity of care with the changing needs of Fairhaven residents.
The baby boomer population continues to need public health support, all residents, but especially Fairhaven’s school-aged children continue to need strong mental health advocacy and access to services, residents spending time outdoors as the weather warms needs continued protection and education of tick and mosquito-borne illnesses.
These are all topics I feel confident that Cristina also feels are vital to the community. I have observed Cristina to spend vast amounts of time on how she can improve Fairhaven’s community. As a clinician myself who has worked with especially highly vulnerable populations throughout the country and locally, I can highly assure Cristina will work well with all and help combat and promote Fairhaven’s public health needs with empathy, consistency, and professionalism.
