Thank You For a Great July Fourth
On July 4, 2024, the Town of Fairhaven celebrated Independence Day in grand style!
We would like to thank everyone who helped make this celebration such a success: Lieutenant David Sobral and the Fairhaven Police Department, Fairhaven EMA and the Town Departments for your participation (Fairhaven Animal Control, Fairhaven Fire Department, Department of Public Works, and the Council on Aging), Fairhaven TV for video and advertisement, The Shepherd Center for Performing Arts for your great performances and sound equipment, Veterans Agent Mike Jenny, Brian Slowick for driving his vintage car with the Grand Marshall — Robert “Bob” Espindola and his wife Anne, The Fairhaven Village Militia, Alex Sylvaria for set up and security at Fort Phoenix, Elizabeth Bond from the Mass. Department of Conservation and Recreation at the Fort Phoenix State Beach, Volunteer Bryce Cannon, the Green Street neighborhoods for decorating along the parade route and lastly; our fantastic parade participants for your fun and enthusiasm. And all of you, who showed up and cheered us all on as we marched down Green Street!
This is part of what makes Fairhaven such a special place to live in. Until next year.!!
