Letter_Heroux will make Bristol County proud

Heroux will make Bristol County proud, safer

Paul Heroux will reduce crime, be considerate of his staff, the taxpayers and bring transparency to the operation of the Bristol Jail for the first time in twenty five years.

The hallmark of Paul Heroux’s three terms as mayor of Attleboro is transparency and accountability to the community. Paul understands that as sheriff his primary responsibility would be to provide care, custody and corrections for the incarcerated and detained in the Bristol County House of Correction.

Paul has the accumulated skills, positions in two prison systems,  impressive educational and research credentials and proven managerial success, to promote and institute fact based programs and treatment modes to rehabilitate the incarcerated.

Paul understands that penalization without rehabilitation of the convicted, and detained, in the prison system is counterproductive as it negatively impacts the safety of the community, puts the staff at risk and has enormous tax consequences .

Paul as mayor has consistently provided transparency to his projects and programs and has been held accountable by the voters by virtue of his many re-elections as mayor and as a state representative .

During his campaign Paul has been respectful and appreciative of the financial assistance provided by his hundreds of supporters and has kept them abreast of all his expenditures, thus demonstrating his true adherence to transparency and accountability.

One of Paul’s most strikingly unique attributes is his willingness to admit a mistake and to rectify it rather than doubling down with unverifiable excuses and deflection of blame onto others .

Bristol County will be proud, safer, and spared unnecessary expenses when Paul Heroux becomes the new sheriff in town.
