Laura Gardner Supports Ochoa
I am writing in support of Kelly Ochoa for the Fairhaven School Committee. I strongly believe that we need an educator on the school committee. Kelly is a lifelong educator and knows firsthand the challenges that teachers, families, and students face in this complicated school landscape. Her many years teaching high school Spanish at ORR have given her critical experience she can use right away on the school committee. She will bring an important perspective to the school committee that is currently not present.
I also back Kelly Ochoa because she has demonstrated leadership. Kelly is a vital member of the Unitarian Universalist church here in Fairhaven, which I also attend. We also worked together supporting migrants to our community in 2023 as part of the Welcome Corps; Kelly was the unofficial leader of our group.
Kelly is professional, approachable, and has a can-do attitude that we need on the school committee. I encourage all voters to give her their consideration!
