Education is Not Political Indoctrination
“Hey, Johnny, what are you rebelling against?”
“Whaddya got?!” [Marlon Brando, The Wild One]
Education teaches young people to use their mind like adults, for adult living. Education is not social adjustment, psychotherapy, political indoctrination or job training.
Education is science for reality, math for the mind, history for what man has done, and literature for what man can do and should do. The Greek discovery of the mind. The American discovery of how to protect the mind with the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Education needs a focused mind. Unfocused minds are guided by emotions. But at Fairhaven High School, “Social Justice and Teens” teaches the unfocused mind, differences without discrimination, discrimination (rational or irrational) as “oppression,” and vendettas of “oppressed” tribes against “oppressor” tribes. So discriminating between food and poison is just as oppressive as racial or ethnic discrimination.
Social justice condemns the focused mind as prejudiced and biased. “Check your bias to wreck your bias….calling on a wider order of logic than comes from the mind. This wider order of logic requires close attention to emotions.”
Justice is the focused mind discriminating among differences for what is better or worse for one’s own life. Social justice is the unfocused mind passively tolerating all differences, with no concern for one’s own life. Social justice is the unfocused mind willfully ignorant of what is better and worse for one’s life.
Social Justice says that ability is different from disability, not better or worse; a healthy brain is different from dyslexia, not better or worse; male and female are different from “gender” fantasies, not better or worse; hearing is different from deafness, not better or worse; Sight is different from blindness, not better or worse.
“[We] are dedicated to breaking the habit of discrimination.” So cannibalism and slavery are merely different from individual rights and constantly increasing, technological prosperity, not better or worse.
“Ableism is…systemic discrimination against people with disabilities.” Remember this when you want a doctor, airline pilot or car mechanic. Or teacher. Especially teachers of young people.
Social justice says that you are not a real individual with your own mind. You are a mindless product of a socially recognized, biological group, usually race, ethnicity, sex, and gender. You, as individual, are not important. As Hitler said, “You are nothing. Your folk is everything.”
Do parents, voters, and taxpayers know or care about this indoctrination? Or are they grateful that “the authorities” have relieved them of the responsibility to judge what they buy, a responsibility that they accept when buying food or a car? It’s dangerous to put the minds of young people, maybe your children, into the care of teachers who may or may not teach the values of parents.
Home schooling is increasing vastly more than public and private schooling. We need a Constitutional wall of separation between school and state. Defund public schools. They are a danger to the focused mind.
The Revolution is over. The bums lost. [The Big Lebowski]
