Letter_Correy Supports Trapilo

Correy Supports Trapilo

As a former Chair of the Select Board for the town of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, I am writing to express my strong support for Rick Trapilo in the upcoming election.

In my time serving the town, I learned firsthand the importance of having individuals with strong business acumen and an objective perspective in leadership positions. Rick Trapilo possesses both of these qualities. His business mind will be invaluable in moving Fairhaven forward in a positive and productive direction.

One of the most significant assets Rick brings to the table is his independence. He is not part of any entrenched in-town political clique, which allows him to offer a fresh, unbiased perspective that our town sorely needs. This objectivity will enable him to make decisions based on what is truly best for Fairhaven, rather than being swayed by personal gain or political agendas.

I recognize the challenges Rick faces, much like I did during my own campaign. He is running against a candidate backed by a powerful political clique, a situation designed to advance their own specific interests. Yet, Rick has shown an impressive willingness to work hard and hustle against these odds.

I first met Rick while we were both campaigning, standing outside the Fairhaven Post Office, introducing ourselves to residents. His dedication to engaging with the community was immediately apparent. Some may point to his past aspirations for state representative, but I view ambition as a positive trait. Regardless of his past endeavors, it’s clear that Rick is motivated to do what is right for Fairhaven. He is not beholden to friends or other government officials who might try to influence his decisions for their own benefit.

In a political climate often dominated by self-interest, Rick Trapilo stands out as a candidate committed to serving the best interests of Fairhaven.

On April 7th, I will be casting my vote for Rick Trapilo, and I urge my fellow Fairhaven residents to do the same.

Leon E Correy III, Fairhaven; Former Chair of the Fairhaven Select Board
